A downloadable game
Ens trobem a la Catalunya del tombant del segle XIX: el moviment artístic del Modernisme està en el seu apogeu. Els burgesos i les grans famílies volen estar a la última moda, i això implica transformar la seva pròpia llar en una gran obra d'art, seguint la filosofia del Gesamkunstwerk alemany, o art total: totes les disciplines artístiques, sense distinció, han d'estar subordinades a una mateixa finalitat, que és unir vida i art de forma holística.
A Modernisme els jugadors prenen el paper d'arquitectes de l'època, que han rebut l'encàrrec de realitzar la decoració interior d'una casa modernista emblemàtica. Per tal d'aconseguir-ho, hauran de contractar a artistes reals de l'època, tant homes com dones, especialitzats en diferents tipus d'obres (pintura, esculptura, artesania) i en diferents temàtiques (natura, mitologia, societat i orientalisme), a qui hauran d'encarregar obres per col·locar en diferents habitacions de la casa.
La col·locació de les obres a la casa no és trivial; caldrà decidir quines obres són més adecuades per a cada espai, i procurar crear habitacions amb motius harmoniosos. A més, estant en una època d'expedicions i grans troballes arqueològiques (i expoli), es podran aconseguir relíquies portades de tot el planeta per cobdiciosos antiquaris.

We find ourselves in Catalonia at the turn of the 19th century: the artistic movement of Modernisme (Catalan equivalent of Art Nouveau, Arts & Crafts, etc) is at its peak. The bourgeoisie and the great families want to be at the height of fashion, and this means transforming their own homes into great works of art, following the German philosophy of Gesamtkunstwerk, or “total work of art”: all artistic disciplines, without distinction, must be subordinated to a single purpose, which is to unite life and art in a holistic way.
In Modernisme, players take on the role of architects of the era who have been commissioned to design the interior decoration of an emblematic Modernist house. To achieve this, they will have to hire real artists from the period, both men and women, specializing in different types of works (painting, sculpture, craftsmanship) and in different themes (nature, mythology, society, and Orientalism), commissioning works to place in the various rooms of the house.
Placing the works within the house is no trivial matter; players must decide which works are best suited to each space and strive to create rooms with harmonious motifs. Furthermore, in an age of expeditions and major archaeological discoveries (and looting), they will be able to acquire relics brought from all over the world by greedy antiquarian.

Això si que és inmersió!! Sòc un gran fanàtic del Modernisme català i aquest joc de taula m'ha fet sentir com si fos part de la burgesía de l'época. Molt recomanable provar-ho com a mínim i molt bona feina a l'equip!
